Daniel R. Cleary
October 16, 1981 - January 14, 2020
It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to Daniel Cleary.
Dan suffered a Stroke on that fateful night and he fought hard to come back, but unfortunately lost the fight this morning.
Our thoughts are with his family.
Obituary for Daniel Cleary
Daniel R Cleary, age 38, passed away on January 14, 2020 with his family by his side. Daniel was born in Dearborn on October 16, 1981 to Evelyn and Brian Cleary. He met the love of his life Jessica Betson while in Junior High. They married in April 2009. Daniel enlisted into the United States Air Force in 2000 and proudly served his country until 2011. During his time he served in combat operations for one year in the Middle East as a firefighter and search and rescue team. He worked as a Senior Corrections Officer at Milan Federal Prison and was also on the Disturbance Control Team. Dan was an avid hunter he loved playing hockey, baseball, football, and golf. He joined the Michigan Warriors Hockey team out of Canton. Most of all Dan loved spending time with his family and extended family, and Michigan football. He is survived by his wife Jessica, children Eila, Jaxon, and Rowdy; Mother Eva (Michael) Martin and Father Brian Cleary; siblings: Amy Halloran, Gus and Kitty Cleary, Danniale Jordan, Mikael Wotring, many nieces and nephews of blood and heart. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Dan will be missed by his family, military brothers, Milan and Hockey Family, and the many friends of his childhood.
